you peoples are awesome ...very nice forum .front page make more attractive existing  also good ..but give look of sher.o.shayari mahfil...meaning feeling of soulful poetry surrounding on page.

Poetry might be a gift from heaven but here on this forum that gift is abused by the large volume of mediocrity, and if that wasn't enough the collective 'shaabash' that the members give out to each other for what is mainly mediocre at best and often plain rubbish is divine comedy. Too much 'ishq vishq' and emphasis on no seriousness. If this forum is some sort of a middle class entertainment like Bollywood, IPL or commercial soaps on tv then forgive my rants and 'lagey raho munna bhai'

Yoindia Shayariadab is the most popular poetry site today. You deserve congratulations for its growing popularity.However , to make it more participative , improve the standard of poetry and encourage newcomers I suggest that :

 1. We organize a 'Mushaira' regularly - may be once a month or once in 2 months.There should bo no 'tarah' or binding of 'Bahr'- as is the system on some sites or groups.The poet should be free to post his metered or unmetered poetry in the Mushaira for which a given time period of 24 hours may be specified. Only one self -composed poetry should be allowed in the Mushaira.This , I think will help us work hard and produce one good poetry every month or in whatever period is decided for the event.

2.In between Mushairas , we can have 1 or 2 events in which the members may be asked to post a self-composed 'Sher' / Qata / Nazm on 1 0r 2 given topics or "unwaan'- say on "ZINDAGI".Again a given time may be fixed for posting them.

3.To separate the posts from normal posts , separate sections or destinations may be earmarked in which the posts for these events may be posted . No post not included in these section should be included in the events .

4. No person should be allowed to post a poem already posted by him/her on Yoindia Shayariadab in the Mushaira , though this condition may not be imposed for 'shers'.   

  This is an off-hand suggestion and members' may give their suggestion as regards its pros and cons .

Admin, I think Rau is good and it should not be removed. To create enthusiasm among the poets, I suggest there should be a voting quarterly. There should be separate voting for male and female poets. There can be categories like, best romantic poet, best philosphical poet, best funny poet, best devotional poet, best ghazalist, best nazm writer etc. for the quarter in both male and female poets.

There should be notification in form of a pop-up appearing on the home page and in every post, so that while reading a poetry users can get pop-up advertising the votes. The voting should be open for 3 days preferably in the first week of every quarter. And when a member has been declared best poet in any of the categories, he/she should be given a trophy/logo showing his title in his/her every post as in the MOM awards.

And yes, the appearance of the site/design theme of site can be changed, it can be made more attractive.

Mushayra suggested by Hasan Sir is also a good point.

This is all I have now, would suggest you if I have more.

Sir, Mujhe apni khud ki likhi Hindi mein type ki huyee poems, sher-o-shayri original fonts (Krutidev/ Divya/ Susha) mein otherwise, uski pdf or scan file banakar dene ke liye tareeka bataiye.  Meri Hindi ki kavitaein desh prem aur samaaj ke liye, bahut hi learning wali hain.

Being a member of this forum “ Yoindia “ since 2008 ,  It gives me great pleasure to mention  that I have read and felt many awe-inspiring creations. However, the numbers may be comparatively less. In my view, majority of entries could be a bit more refined and the quality rather than quantity could be the aim.
